Kitty's Corner PIK

I've been visiting this cafe regularly eversince two years a go but i always forgot to write about Kitty's Corner.
This cafe is full of Hello Kitty - even it's not licence cafe from Sanrio.

As you can see, the entrance is very playful and eye catching. Let's go inside!

The cafe is located in 2nd floor, We will walk trough their Wall of Fame. Then, when you were arrived in cafe, you will start to say "Cuteness overload! or "It's too pink" or as simply as "Wow"

The cafe architecture and decor is rated 3/5 for me. As red ribbon Hello Kitty fan, this one is too pink for me.  

One of their best seller drink is Fruit Punch (23.000 IDR / 1.65 USD). Honestly, I don't like it. The only reason why i choose this one because of Hello Kitty's jelly inside.

For our breakfast, I ate Hello Kitty Waffle with Vanilla Ice Cream (39.000 IDR / 2.79 USD). Thalita got her Hello Kitty Chocolate Peanut Toast (24.000 IDR / 1.72 USD) and Vanny enjoyed her Hello Kitty Choco Cheese Bread (22.000 IDR / 1.57 USD).
For the taste, it's could be state as so-so. It's not delicious but it's not terrible. Well, at least they have cute presentation and totally win my heart. How about the price? I think it's still affordable and the price already bundling with taxes.

After we finished our meals. We decided to find lunch in PIK's area. We just felt recharged after having breakfast in Kitty's Corner. It's a good mood food for us.

Before we were leave, we decided to sight-seeing in 1st floor. This floor is dedicated as Hello Kitty Store by Cafe owner. Sadly not all the stuff were original products.

I do recommend Kitty's Corner for girls or dating couple. For Hello Kitty fan, its should be puuur-fect place!

Christmas High Tea Set

Last week, i went to Peacock Lounge with Ricky (like always) and Vanny. 

When we were seated, I already knew it's gonna be happy afternoon tea time. Sleek yet elegant ambiance welcomed us.

We already planned to try their famous High Tea Sets (Two options set available around IDR 325k++ and IDR 388k++)

Luckily, in December they created limited edition set. It's called Christmas High Tea Set. 

This set costs IDR 488.000++ which consists of a 3 level cupboard filled with cake, another square plates of pastries and 2 glasses of sparkling wine. But, we decided to change the wine with tea. Quite stupid choice, though...

I eat a lot and most of it. The cupboard arrangement is quite impressive. I love the Christmas ornaments on the top of it.

Overall, i definitely will come back here to try their regular sets. For me, High Tea set in Peacock Lounge is totally worth the price. For anyone who love to spend their afternoon by talking with their loved one and eat a lot - literally a lot, this place is beyond perfect.

3 Things to do in Volendam

When in Amsterdam, my friend in Prague texted me and strongly suggest that i should visit Volendam. Honestly, this cute little town is totally caught my eyes.

For everyone who are interested with this little town. I will share 3 things to do in Volendam for urban people who need getaway! 

1st Taking A LOT of pictures

It's seems so lame, but trust me... for someone who lived in big city. Volendam architecture throw us back to our childhood moments or maybe the houses seems jump off from our bedtime book stories.

Don't forget to try Foto De Boer too. We should pay at least 20 euros to be dress up like Dutch. It's quite pricey but come on... This is rated as the best typical photo in whole Netherlands. Let's try and burn the cash!

2nd Eat LIKE A BOSS!

Another spending cash thing is try and buy various cheese in here. They were the best cheese I ever taste. 

Next, make sure you try the most fresh herring fish in Netherlands. I just can't stop eating it. If you don't like something raw or something like sashimi. You can buy fried seafood in various stands.

3rd Enjoy the Harbor

This harbor town makes me felt like Popeye. I'm ready to sail! I was living in big city and i found peace by looking at the ships. Oh, Volendam... I miss you!

Hello Kitty Town Johor Bahru

A month before i resign from my office. I decided to celebrate my birthday in Hello Kitty Town (Johor Bahru). This is the recap of my 3D2N traveling moments!

21st July 2014
I did breakthrough things today:

•  I went alone to Singapore using Air Asia. In the past, i used to fly with Garuda Indonesia. I try to be humble this time :p
• Took MRT for very first time. I already went to this city since i was 5 years old but i always got picked up by my friends or using taxi
• Eating Swedish food in Bugis. I love it!
• Sleeping in BnB (Bed and Breakfast). One room for 8 persons and bathroom is outside. I never had such experience. I did it but i'm barely sleeping that night

22nd July 2014

After lunch, I'm leaving Singapore and heading to Johor Bahru. I got a companion from Jakarta. First day in JB, I spent all day in Mall and buy some stuffs. 

That night, i slept in hotel because I've enough with BnB.

23rd July 2014

Officially 24 years old. In 08.30am, me and my friend already dress up to get Hello Kitty Town. Super excited. In the morning, my friend gave me surprise. Alhamdulillah, cute mini cupcakes!

We used Red cab to get there. We paid 75 RM to enter Hello Kitty Town. Quite affordable!
In the entrance, we saw Red Bow Cafe. I bought nothing from here because i'm running out my RM.

After went to living room. Next corridor was Hello Kitty kitchen!

The Bathroom:

Moved to Mimmy's room. Full of gold! I love it!

The phone that i hang to is worked. This phone played conversation between Hello Kitty and her tailor and florist. Funny!

There was walk in closet that seperated Mimmy and Kitty rooms,

At last but not least, Hello Kitty room!

We just finished Hello Kitty's house tour.

And move to another room. We decorated cookies, create pin and put jewelries.

The last destination is Hello Kitty Black Wonder Adventure! Super cute! I barely took pictures because i just way too excited to break the code and finish the game.
So, we finished Hello Kitty Town Journey in 2 hours. It was small place. I didn't take some spot like Cinnamonroll Cafe, Hello Kitty Tea Cup Ride, Puurfect Stage and Friendship Land (Playground for kids).

Here's my opinion about Hello Kitty Town (Johor Bahru):

(+) If you are Hello Kitty fan (like me), you MUST visit it. Very cute and full of Kitty!

(+) The first Sanrio attraction outside Japan. 

(-) Build for young children

(-) Anyone who don't interested with cute things / hello kitty will find it as boring place

(-) Some blogger says the price didn't match with the place. Too expensive for small place.

(-) Hard to access by bus. We need extra money for cab.

Prepare yourself with these mandatory stuffs:

1. Headbands
Pink ribbon with polkadots - voila, you will never go out of style. Rem' using hat in beach is kinda mainstream lately (at least for me)

2. Sunglasses
Try to buy some everlasting brand like Ray Ban

3. Towels
The point is pick the right color. You got it rite?

4. Bikini
Pick 1 size smaller than your daily size. Yup, it's for boost up your butts and racks!

5. Accessories
Find the most "beach" mood 

6. Tote Bag
I pick a transparent shocking pink from Harpers and Smith, you will instantly stunning in the middle of beach

7. Toiletries
Don't try to copy our granny who desperately love to bring normal size toiletries. You can buy travel bottles kit in Mark and Spencer then redeploy your daily products. But, if you are lazy, you can move your ass to The Body Shop or L'Occitane en Provence counter nearby and buy their travel size products.

8. Flip-flops
Havaianas is always a good idea. Finger crossed.
